Birthday Cake - Ribbit Stacker on Flickr.Via Flickr: I’ve been looking forward to creating this cake for 12 months, since my nephew was born. It was for his 1st birthday today, and I loved the cake. It is based on his favourite stacking toy, balls and bubbles. His little face lit up when he saw it. The hardest part was transporting it, as we were meeting up to celebrate with a picnic and trip to the safari park. It survived!! 4 tier Vanilla Victoria, with strawberry preserve, vanilla bean buttercream. All handmade from sugarpaste. The cake was handpainted to achieve the layers. The wedding guests were invited to bring their own home-baked cakes for a ‘bake off’ competition complete with rosettes. Awesome!!
